A life comment…

Spent a few moments this afternoon in Victoria with our sister Trudy while she underwent chemo-therapy at the Victoria Cancer clinic outpatient ward. Along with 11 others of all ages, economic backgrounds, race, creed brought together by this horrible disease.

In their chairs. Some reading, some writing, some staring out the windows on this bright sunny day. Some with a visitor, a volunteer or no one at all.

All attached to these beeping, humming electronic machines.

Realizing you can’t change what has happened to these people and how uncomfortable it was to be in their world, even if for a short time.

We were glad we could bring a smile to a few and chat a bit. Lucky to be us…….
