Strawberry hills or maybe its fields…?

Yes, the end of the year is within sight.  We certainly hope that everyone had a chance to share their Christmas with someone/somebody or somewhere they liked.

Now, Christmas is all but a memory save the calories, wrapping paper clean-up, the after gift opening snooze and boxing day sales that will gone on until Easter.

Ah, the after gift opening snooze....

Been a bit remiss on updating but the knee has been a bit of a pain (literally) although there are others certainly worse off, pain is pain…. and pouting is pouting.  So now that’s done we have some great news!!

After great thought and a lot of open houses, viewings and discussions with local realtors, politicians, family and people in general, we have finally closed on a building lot!

Stratford, PEI is the town and Strawberry Hill is the place.  The photos don’t tell all the story as beneath the snow there is rolling green and red soil hills and in the distance there is the ocean.  In those trees near the ocean is where we presently live, about 6 minutes from Strawberry Hill.  Say it enough time and it sounds sort of like a song by the Beatles….

We now begin a hunt for the builder that we can work with and that can work with us (the later might be tougher).  We had commissioned a residential design architectural draftsman to take a house plan that Tracy had chosen and work the floor-plan footprint to meet requirements of the local developer and to fit the lot.  It was a lot of give and take with a local realtor assisting us greatly in making it work.

Didn’t want to confirm anything until we actually signed the papers and took possession of, well, red soil in PEI…………..!!

Thank you Leesa, you are right, the Journey continues.
